Universal Geneve, No. 1444496. Produced circa 1950. Fine, center-seconds, water-resistant, 18K pink gold and cloisonne enamel gentleman's wristwatch. C. two-body, solid, polished, screwed-down case back, concave lugs. D. polychrome cloisonne enamel representing the Arabian Peninsula, a palm tree and a mosque, surrounded by a pink gold plain reserve with dedication in Arabic characters. "Dauphine" pink gold hands. M. Cal. 139, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring. Case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Charles Poluzzi, 20th Century enameller and painter on enamel, specializes in champleve and cloisonne landscapes in the Geneva style of 1750 to 1830.
